Fathom Truck Mods

About Fathom Truck Mods

Fathom Truck Mods is an independent reference for the Ford Fathom electric pickup, and a curated directory of gear that genuinely works with it. It is not affiliated with Ford.

Why this site exists

The Ford Fathom was announced on August 6, 2026 and reaches customers in late 2027. In the gap, a predictable thing is happening: dealer blogs and content farms are publishing specifications as fact that trace back to no verifiable source — a 0–60 time, a frunk capacity, a towing rating. Ford has published none of those.

This site takes the opposite approach. Every specification we track carries an evidence level, a source, and a date. Nineteen of the forty-three specifications on our specifications page are marked unknown, because they are unknown. That list of unknowns is the most useful thing we publish, since it tells you exactly what you cannot yet evaluate and stops you buying a part for a bed whose length has never been stated.

What we sell, and what we do not

We sell nothing. We list gear from other retailers and earn a commission when someone buys through our links, which is how the site is funded. That creates an obvious incentive problem, and we handle it in three ways.

  • We rank on fit and safety certification, never on commission rate. The Home Charger Finder explicitly says the more expensive charger is sometimes the cheaper total install.
  • We publish things that cost us sales — that the federal charger tax credit expired, that a product's "UL-listed components" is not a UL listing, that a whole category of frunk organizers will not fit this truck.
  • We list nothing Fathom-specific, because nothing Fathom-specific exists yet. Everything in the catalog works with any EV or any pickup today.

How the catalog is built

Every product was researched individually against manufacturer pages. Certification claims are checked against what the manufacturer states about the product itself, not against marketplace listing titles. Where we could not verify something, the page says so rather than guessing — including on products we would earn from.

Prices come from the retailers and change constantly, so we show "Check price" rather than a number that would be stale within days.

Corrections

This site is about an unreleased vehicle, so being wrong is inevitable and being corrected publicly is the point. If you find a mis-tagged specification, a Ford statement we missed, or a product claim that does not hold up, tell us. Corrections get a dated entry, not a silent edit.
