Charging & Power
Charging equipment is the one category a Fathom buyer should sort out before the truck arrives, not after. A Level 2 charger typically needs a dedicated 240-volt circuit, and electricians book out weeks in advance. Everything here works with any modern EV, so none of it is a gamble on specifications Ford has not published yet.
The federal charger tax credit has expired. The 30C credit ended on June 30, 2026. Several manufacturers still advertise eligibility on their own product pages — that claim is now false, and we flag it on the products where it appears. Check your state and utility instead; many still offer rebates worth more than 30C was.

Tesla Universal Wall Connector
The only charger here that handles both plug standards from one unit — NACS cable with a J1772 adapter built into the holster. Tesla currently gates purchase to existing owners.
NACS · 48A · Hardwired
Wallbox Pulsar Plus 48A, Hardwired, NACS
The smallest 48A unit here by a noticeable margin, which matters in a tight garage. Rated NEMA Type 4 and down to −22°F.
NACS · 48A · Hardwired
A2Z EV Atom Adapter — J1772 to NACS, 80A
If the Fathom ships with a NACS port as reported, this forty-five-dollar adapter is the single most useful accessory a buyer can own. It opens every J1772 charger in the country to the truck.
J1772 → NACS · 80A
A2Z EV Stellar Adapter — NACS to J1772, 80A
The opposite direction: lets a J1772 vehicle use a Tesla Wall Connector or Destination Charger. Relevant if there is a second, older EV in the household.
NACS → J1772 · 80A
ChargePoint Home Flex, Hardwired, NACS
The default recommendation for most garages. Amperage is set in the app rather than by opening the case, so one unit covers a 20A circuit today and a 60A circuit after a panel upgrade.
NACS · 50A · Hardwired
Emporia Classic Level 2 EV Charger, NACS
The value pick that does not cut the certifications. UL listed, ENERGY STAR, NEMA 4, 25 ft cable, and no subscription for the app.
NACS · 48A hardwired / 40A plug-in · NEMA 14-50
Emporia Pro Level 2 EV Charger
Buy this instead of the Classic if your panel is full. Its load management can let a 48A charger share an existing service that could not otherwise support one.
NACS · 48A hardwired / 40A plug-in · NEMA 14-50
Enphase IQ EV Charger 2, 11.5 kW, J1772
The pick if you have solar. Its dynamic load balancing can avoid a panel upgrade outright, and the connector is field-replaceable to NACS.
J1772 · 48A · Hardwired
Grizzl-E Classic 40A, NEMA 14-50
Deliberately not smart. A cast aluminum case, a UL listing, and no radio to stop working in four years — the pick if you want an appliance rather than a gadget.
J1772 · 40A · NEMA 14-50
Grizzl-E Classic Connect 40A, NACS
The Classic with Wi-Fi added, for the case where a utility rebate requires a connected charger.
NACS · 40A · NEMA 14-50
Lectron J1772 to NACS Adapter, 80A, UL 2252
The main alternative to the A2Z Atom, at a similar price and with the same UL 2252 certification. IP67 rated.
J1772 → NACS · 80A
Autel MaxiCharger AC Lite Home 50A, NACS
Widest adjustment range here — 6A to 50A in one-amp steps. Autel states CSA certification and ENERGY STAR, but does not claim a UL listing.
NACS · 50A · Hardwired
EVDANCE Flux Level 1 & 2 Portable EV Charger, NEMA 5-15, 12A/16A, NACS
The glovebox charger. Slow, but it works from any household outlet in the country, which is exactly what you want in an emergency.
NACS · 16A hardwired / 12A plug-in · NEMA 5-15
EVDANCE Flux Level 2 Portable EV Charger, NEMA 14-50, 40A, J1772
The J1772 twin of the NACS unit above. Pair it with a J1772-to-NACS adapter and it covers both standards.
J1772 · 40A · NEMA 14-50
EVDANCE Flux Level 2 Portable EV Charger, NEMA 14-50, 40A, NACS
Full 40A Level 2 speed from a portable unit you can throw in the frunk. The obvious first charger to own while you decide on a permanent one.
NACS · 40A · NEMA 14-50
EVDANCE Flux Pro Home Level 2 EV Charger, NEMA 14-50, 40A, J1772
Wall-mounted and ETL certified, at a price that undercuts most name-brand 40A units. Plugs into an existing 14-50 rather than needing a hardwire run.
J1772 · 40A · NEMA 14-50
EVDANCE Home Level 2 EV Charger, Hardwired, 50A, J1772
EVDANCE's highest-output home unit, and its best-certified: ETL listed to UL 2594 and UL 2231-2, IP66, adjustable 6–50A.
J1772 · 50A · Hardwired
EVDANCE Level 2 Portable EV Charger, NEMA 14-30, 24A, NACS
The dryer-outlet charger. If your laundry room backs onto the garage, this is Level 2 charging with no electrical work at all.
NACS · 24A · NEMA 14-30
EVDANCE Mini NACS to J1772 Charging Adapter, 80A
Compact and IP65 rated. We could not confirm a UL 2252 listing for it, which is worth weighing on an 80A part — the certified alternatives are close in price.
NACS → J1772 · 80A
EVDANCE NACS to CCS Pulse Fusion Adapter with Interlock, 500A
DC fast-charging adapter with a mechanical interlock. Only relevant if the Fathom turns out to need CCS access — hold off until the connector is confirmed.
NACS → CCS
EVIQO Level 2 EV Charger 48A, Hardwired, NACS
Well-specified for the money — UL, ETL, ENERGY STAR, IP66, 25 ft cable. Note that EVIQO's own page still advertises a federal tax credit that no longer exists.
NACS · 48A · Hardwired
Lectron NACS to J1772 Adapter, 48A
A long-standing, widely used adapter. Certified by SGS to UL 2251 rather than the newer UL 2252 that covers EV coupler adapters specifically.
